My time at Christ Seminary has challenged me to grow beyond my comfort zone.Through the preaching classes, I learned to prepare sermons from a variety of biblical genres, developing the discipline and skills necessary for faithful expository preaching. I am grateful for the opportunity to preach before my professors and receive constructive feedback, which has helped me become a clearer and more effective communicator of God’s Word.
For the past year and a half, I have also served as Residential Director. This role has tested my patience, humility, endurance, and love for others. Living and leading within a diverse community has not always been easy, but God has used both the challenges and the blessings to shape me into a better man and leader.
I am deeply grateful for the grace, encouragement, and fellowship of my fellow seminarians. Through these relationships, God has strengthened and sustained me throughout my seminary years, and I continue to pray for wisdom and the Spirit’s guidance as I study and apply His Word.

I thank God for His gracious hand upon us. I am reminded of how Ezra described every step of Israel’s return as being guided by the hand of God. What a blessing that undeserving sinners like us have not only received the gift of salvation, but also get to serve the very church Christ loves and purchased with His own blood.
Looking back, I think of the uncertainty I felt at the beginning of the first semester. And how, day by day, the Lord has shaped and grown me to be more useful for His Kingdom. I cherish the struggles, the lengthy discussions in and out of class, the tension of balancing work, study, and life; the first sermon I ever preached, the first group project on how to reach the Chinese in SA, and the many moments of learning and refining along the way.
I will deeply miss the high-quality teaching, the soul-care mentoring sessions, the joy of exploring the wonderland of biblical languages, and the pulpit training that, though still formative, was filled with His righteousness and truth.
