Christ Seminary was delighted to host a vital and encouraging event on October 9, 2025: a dedicated Couples Seminar focused on the theme, “Inside the Christian Home.”
As part of our mission to strengthen churches and equip faithful believers, this seminar brought together couples from diverse areas, all united by a desire to pursue marriages that glorify God.
Theological Depth for Marital Roles
Rooted firmly in the principles of Scripture, the seminar provided a rigorous and practical examination of the Christian home. A core focus was dedicated to exploring the distinct, yet complementary, roles of the husband and the wife. Through careful biblical exposition, we aimed to provide clarity on how Christ’s loving leadership of the Church sets the ultimate pattern for marital responsibilities and mutual submission within the home.
Cultivating Godly Character
Crucially, the sessions moved beyond mere responsibilities to address the foundation of any thriving Christian marriage: the godly character of the individuals involved. Extensive time was spent discussing the specific traits that spouses must intentionally develop and practice in their “marriage work.”
We emphasized that a lasting, vibrant marriage is sustained by the fruit of the Spirit, highlighting the necessity of traits such as:
- Humility
- Patience
- Self-Control
- Christ-like Love
Attendees were challenged to view their homes as their primary mission field, where daily discipleship and character refinement are essential for honouring their covenant vows.
An Encouraging Day of Fellowship
The participation from couples representing various geographical regions made the seminar a truly enriching experience. It was a powerful affirmation that the health of our churches is directly tied to the health of our homes. We are grateful for all who attended and invested intentionally in the most significant earthly covenant they share.
