Newsletter Update: Celebrating 25 Years of God’s Faithfulness at Christ Seminary

We are delighted to share the June 2025 Newsletter with updates on academic progress, ministry growth, and upcoming events at Christ Seminary.

A Milestone of Grace: 25th Anniversary Celebration

This June 2025 marks a significant milestone: Christ Seminary will celebrate 25 years of graduating students. We view this as a powerful testimony to God’s faithfulness and grace. Alumni and their wives are invited to join the celebration as we commemorate all the Lord has done.

Academic and Ministry Growth

The first semester of the year concluded successfully with students writing their final exams in May. We currently have a strong cohort of 47 men labouring in their studies:

  • 17 men are enrolled in the first year.
  • 16 men are enrolled in the second year.
  • 14 men are enrolled in the third year.

The internship program is also progressing well. Three students have been placed in the pastoral internship program with local churches, allowing them to gain practical ministry experience while they study. We anticipate placing more students into this vital program as the Lord provides the necessary resources.

Enhancing Fellowship and Formation

We are pleased to announce progress on facility improvements designed to enrich student life and discipleship. The construction for the much-needed kitchen space is underway and is expected to be resolved in six weeks. This new area will provide students with ample space for meals, devotions, and fellowship.

Student Spotlight: The Power of Expository Preaching

We are encouraged by the impact of our curriculum, as shared by second-year student and intern, Astieldo Randriamanana from Madagascar.

Astieldo shared that while the initial volume of books and assignments increased his stress levels , the experience taught him essential values, including faithfulness and time management.

Furthermore, four subjects—English Proficiency, Hermeneutics, Greek, and Exegesis to Exposition—have radically transformed his understanding and interpretation of Scripture. Astieldo is now equipped with the method of expository preaching , which he plans to apply in his future ministry in Madagascar and teach to other men called to preach the Holy Scripture.
